Alsace has a famous reputation for gastronomy and offers a number of receipes for gourmets. Some of them are traditional and simple regional dishes like "Choucroute" - "Flammenkuche" - "Baeckoffa", the famous "Kougelhopf" or the delicious "Bredalas" (little cakes during Christmas time). Some others are more elaborate cooking secrets invented by the regional chefs. Some of them manage very famous Michelin stars restaurants like the prestigious Auberge de l'Ill in Illhausern (minutes away only).
Throughout the year, season by season, the Alsace invites you for special events.
- Colmar International Festival
- Regional Alsatian Wine Fair
- Pfifferdaj in Ribeauvillé
- Christmas markets during the Advent period as well as wine fairs all summer long...
